Amulets and Talismans

Many of us heard about amulets and talismans – the things that guarding person from hoodoos, dangers and bringing them success, riches. Surely each of us have such talisman (or had it before) that indeed helps person, protects him.

Just a little while ago I had such talisman, but… on Halloween Eve my talisman left me… It happened so foolishly and now it is so offensively…

What shall I do? I know that I won’t return my talisman to myself. Now my talisman is somewhere at someone, who even doesn’t suppose that this thing (my talisman) was the valuable thing for me… Pity… too pity…

Milosc i Pozadanie

…"W kontaktach z kobietami zachowujemy sie zwykle tak, jakby milosc i pozadanie stanowily dwa calkowicie odrebne zjawiska; kobiety zas, ktore czasem nas kochaja, a czesto pozadaja, staraja sie podtrzymywac to zludzenie.

It is from the book I'm reading now...

The Winner Takes It All

And another song... Very nice words... But everytime I'm listening to it, I'm crying...

...But tell me does she kiss
Like I used to kiss you?
Does it feel the same
When she calls your name?...

There is always the winner and the loser, but in my situation the winner doesn't know that there was the game and SHE won...
Will she appreciate it?

Two Barriers

I don’t remember if I use this phrase in my blog: “У любви две преградыобстоятельства и страхи.
It seems to me that I could write it in my English articles. Now you have an opportunity to read it in Russian.

Just the quote

The quote from the book I'm reading now:

The Arrow and the Song

Today I remembered my favorite poem “The Arrow and the Song” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. I want to share it with you. I learnt it by heart when I was 12 (and I still remember it well):

I shot an arrow into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For, so swiftly it flew, the sight
Could not follow it in its flight.

I breathed a song into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For who has sight so keen and strong,
That it can follow the flight of song?

Long, long afterward, in an oak
I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end,
I found again in the heart of my friend.

And here it is the perfect translation of this poem by D.Mikhalovski:

Не знал я, где она упала;
