Parable about the Boy and Nails

Once upon a time one a boy with awful temper lived. Once his father gave him the package of nails and told him to nail them in to the fence every time when the boy was angry or quarreled with someone.  At the first day the boy nailed 37 nails in to the fence. On the next weeks he learned to control himself and the quantity of nails on the fence decreased. He realized that it is easier to control himself than to nail.
Finally the day without nailing came. The happy boy run to his father to boast that he didn’t nail at this day! Then father ask his son to pull a nail off the fence every day he won’t lose his patience and won’t quarrel with somebody. Day after day the boy pulled off nails and finally he could tell his father that all nails were pulling off the fence.
Then father led his son to the fence and said:
-         Dear son, you were a good boy – pulled the nails off, but look how much holes are on the fence after nails. And the fence is not like it was some time ago. Remember! When you quarrel with somebody and tell something offensive, you leave the same wounds like these holes. You could put a knife into some person and get out this knife, but the wound would always remain.

No matter how much time you beg forgiveness, the wound would remain. The verbal wounds are painful like the physical injuries.
